Accessibility Statement
Habima National Theater.
We work extensively to make our organization and website accessible to people with disabilities and to promote equal rights and transparency towards people with disabilities.
What is an Accessible Website
An accessible website is one that allows a person with disabilities to browse with the same level of efficiency and comfort as other users, by utilizing the system’s capabilities and through assistive technologies for accessibility.
Implementation of Website Accessibility
Accessibility adjustments to the site were made in accordance with Article C: Internet services in the Equal Rights for People with Disabilities Regulations (Service Accessibility Adjustments) 5773-2013, to Israeli Standard SI 5568 based on the WCAG 2.0 guidelines. The site has been made accessible to AA level and subject to changes and adjustments made in the Israeli Standard document.
The site supports assistive technologies such as screen reader software, keyboard navigation using the Tab and Shift+Tab keys to navigate links, arrow keys, the Enter key to select, the Esc key to exit menus and windows, and pressing H or a Number to navigate between headings.
Statement on Partial Compliance for Third-Party Content (if exists)
Accessibility of ticket purchase pages depends on third-party content not owned by the organization (Smarticket) which is also accessible.
Implemented Changes
This website has implemented comprehensive accessibility adjustments including Semantic markup and informative content implementation for assistive technologies, keyboard-only navigation and control in accordance with W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) guidelines, color scheme adaptations, and the addition of auxiliary labels and form instructions to benefit all users. For the best possible experience when using a screen reader, we recommend using the most recent version of NVDA software.
What Has Been Done on the Website
We have added an accessibility helper component compatible with WordPress systems (link to component pluro.ai). This component allows control of font sizes, block bypass, guiding texts for NVDA and JAWS screen readers, keyboard navigation for browsing without mouse, site compatibility adjustments for NVDA and JAWS screen readers, comfort viewing in black and white/color contrast, blocking animation and moving elements, highlighting links.
For optimal browsing experience with screen readers, we recommend using the latest NVDA software and Google Chrome browser.
Note that despite our efforts to make all pages accessible, attached documents such as Word, PDF, and video files are still in the process of being made accessible, and we are working to complete this.
If you need an inaccessible document from the site, please contact us with a link to its location and we will address it to you as soon as possible.
If you find any inaccessible element or page on the website, we would appreciate it if you could contact us, and we will ensure it is fixed promptly.
